Hi, I am using the wpForo Recent Posts widget to display news on my site from a specific forum. I would like to know if it's possible to change it to show the entire post content with formatting. I tried looking at the CSS but haven't yet figure it out. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi @stanthrax,

Please navigate to Dashboard > Appearance > Widgets admin page, edit the "wpForo Recent Posts" widget, enable the "Filter by forums" checkbox and select the forums from the list.

@sofy

Thanks for the reply Sofy. I ended up getting the blog cross posting add on and only displaying posts from a specific category on the front page.

@moonshadows,

I'd suggest you check out the wpForo – Blog Cross Posting add-on:

OK @Sofy let me make sure I have this correct.

I already have my WP Blog Categories and my wpforo categories set up so they are the same, so, when I make a blog post I can "assign" it to appear in the corresponding forum category as a new topic? Do I have this right?

Thanks.

Yes @moonshadows,

You can create an auto cross-posting rule. You can choose the Post Category and the target Forum to enable automatic post to topic cross-posting. Once the auto cross-posting rule is created and enabled, all future posts (not old) in selected category will be cross-posted as topics in according forums. These rules work for manually created posts as well as for auto-generated posts.

You can also cross-post old posts. In this case you'll just need to use the [Synchronize] button. It'll find all non-cross-posted posts of selected category and cross-post to according forum as topics.
