Hi @electrovo,

wpForo provides with User Registration and Login page. It has profile a rich page with user account settings, activity and subscriptions pages. Also you can extend User Fields with Custom Users Field addon. If you need some specific feature from BuddyPress plugin you can use it too. wpForo is well integrated with BuddyPress started from 1.4.8 version.

Do I need to install buddypress with WPforo plugin? is it a requirement to have the buddypress installed with Wpforo?

On a youtube video there was a guy he said, I need to install buddypress so wpforo will be completed with buddypress. and without buddypress, wpforo is incomplete. Is that right?

Hi @electrovo . To answer your questions:

(1) - No.  wpForo is a forum plugin that you can install by itself .

(2) - No, you don't have to install the buddypress in order for wpForo to work.  wpForo is a forum plugin that you can install by itself .

(3) - No, that's not true.  I only have wpForo installed with no BuddyPress, and wpForo works for me.

@Robert Yes, BuddyPress integrates well with WpForo. Thank you for making this possible. Wpforo combined with BuddyPress takes the community to the next level, especially for onsite notifications.

However, I always felt this (online notification system) should be the core or an addon feature of WpForo because these days email inbox gets filled with spam mails and important notifications from WpForo site gets buried below spam mails.

Sure, I've already mentioned before, that we're working on this. The core notification system is one of top items in our to-do list.
