About the redirection to 404 that you get after entering https://www.russpuss.ru/sitemap.xml/

The reason should be that you are using an SEO plugin with wpForo set Standalone on the Website.

If you are using wpForo Standalone on the Website, there is no need to use other SEO plugins.

Maybe you have any ideas how to restet wpforo to standard settings (keep content and usrs only) others DB files reset? This is possible? Or migrate from wpforo to wpforo content only? https://wpforo.com/community/general-discussions/how-to-export-content/

Hi @annushka,

The 1 is the page.

You can check on wpForo:

https://wpforo.com/community/topic-sitemap1.xml

https://wpforo.com/community/topic-sitemap2.xml

HI Chris!

Thanks you for reply. Yes I know about this is super issue wpforo. Also i can duplicate any forum url

https://wpforo.com/community/xxx67890/general-forums-bug-reports/multiple-sitemaps/
https://wpforo.com/community/34567890/general-forums-bug-reports/multiple-sitemaps/

etc... And this is one page. Anybody can create billion urls for this one page.

About this issueє

Webpages are considered duplicates if their content is 85% identical.
Having duplicate content may significantly affect your SEO performance.
First of all, Google will typically show only one duplicate page, filtering other instances out of its index and search results, and this page may not be the one you want to rank.
In some cases, search engines may consider duplicate pages as an attempt to manipulate search engine rankings and, as a result, your website may be downgraded or even banned from search results.
Moreover, duplicate pages may dilute your link profile.

How to fix it

Here are a few ways to fix duplicate content issues:
- Add a rel="canonical" link to one of your duplicate pages to inform search engines which page to show in search results
- Use a 301 redirect from a duplicate page to the original one
- Use a rel="next" and a rel="prev" link attribute to fix pagination duplicates
- Instruct GoogleBot to handle URL parameters differently using Google Search Console
- Provide some unique content on the webpage
For more information, please read these articles

https://developers.google.com/search/blog/2008/09/demystifying-duplicate-content-penalty
https://developers.google.com/search/docs/crawling-indexing/consolidte-duplicate-urls

Read please this is very important.

This is possible fixed?

Hi @annushka,

Please wait, for the new version release which would fix the sitempam.xml issue that you have(wp-sitemap.xml 404).

About the duplicated part.

The URLs are not duplicated. Topic-sitemap.xml and topic-sitemap1.xml are how they should be.

Hi,

PLEASE open a NEW topic about any issues you may have.

And wp-sitemap.xml is NOT coming from wpForo.
