I have a news website and want to add a private forum to it. I don't need anything fancy such as Login Press or Force Login for now. All I want to do is have a button on the home page that links to the WPForo login, but in a way that shows nothing but the login screen (no forum information) prior to approved login.

I have reviewed the post.. how-to-hide-the-entire-forum-behind-a-login-page   And I have completed the instructions found on https://gvectors.com/how-to-set-up-private-forum/ .

The problem is that the WPForo login page defaults to the home page of my website rather than allowing me to use a button to access it. I am so close and am sure I am missing something trivial. Thanks. Jeff

Do you mean the wpForo login menu item is included in the menu? Could you please leave some screenshots to allow us better understand it?

I am very sorry. The problem was self-inflicted. I was using an admin URL by mistake. By the way, this app is absolutely amazing in how much flexibility it provides, yet still easy enough for a beginner like me. I researched for hours looking at all the reviews, before choosing WPForo. Thank you for offering it w/o ads or limits for free. I don't need any of the add-ons right now but I do hope you guys are making a good living on the business model you choose. Thanks for the quick support response. Jeff.
