A few months ago, a new filter option was added to the Members list, but does WPForo qualify users as "inactive"? Mine is showing 0 out of nearly 900 users, but I know for a fact that there are more inactive users than that (i.e. haven't posted in over a year or not at all).

How can I force WPforo to filter those users?

Hi @veganostomy,

Sorry for the late response.

Please note the inactive users are the users who try to register but not confirmed the email address. This doesn't have any relation with post count, likes, etc.

So if the user fills the email address and don't confirm the account only in this case the user is considered as inactive.

@sofy how can i add that extremely usefull function (inactive users)  to the standard WP user admin columns ? Any easy way ?

I have the need to see the un-activated users and delete them and i haven't found a way yet. Didn't know that existed in wpForo.

Thanks

I've asked the developers and there is no easy solution they can provide. The only way is seeing the inactive users from the wpForo Members page.

In the next update, we'll add the blog post, blog comments count on the wpForo Members page, so you'll be able to easily found and delete the inactive users and check if they have any comments/post, etc.

I would love to see a feature that would allow admins to filter out inactive users who have not posted in a very long time or have not posted at all. Should I create a new thread requesting this?

@veganostomy,

No necessary to create a new topic. You can see it on the Dashboard > Forums > Members admin. Just click on the "Posts" or "Last login" links to order the users by post count and Last login date. When you click on the links first time it'll sort the members by ascending order based on post count or last login date, the second time you click on those links you'll get the order by Descending order.

1) how can you activate an inactive member (0) so that his status becomes active and no longer appears in the list of inactive members?
2) Why when the administrator of the forum resets the password of an inactive member this one remains in inactive status when he can connect with his username and his new password assigned by the administrator?
Can you help me please because I have a lot of users in this case.
Thank you

Hi @exode13

1) how can you activate an inactive member (0) so that his status becomes active and no longer appears in the list of inactive members?

The issue will be fixed in the upcoming version. If you need to solve it asap, please send the admin login details to info[at]gvectors.com email address, I'll ask the developers to fix the issue asap.

2) Why when the administrator of the forum resets the password of an inactive member this one remains in inactive status when he can connect with his username and his new password assigned by the administrator?

When the administrator resets the password of an inactive member it still considers the member as inactive as far as the member doesn't confirm the email address. Those are not the same. I. e. doesn't matter the administrator reset the password or not while the user doesn't set the password via the link she/he gets by email.

Hi Sofy

Thank you very much for your reply and happy new year 2020.

In fact I ask all these questions because I have a lot of members who write to me saying that they have not received the confirmation email. When a user registers, I don't always receive the email notification myself (administrator) ... it's random. For those who have not received the registration confirmation email, I see them registered in the list of inactive members of the forum, but when I modify the user to generate a new password so that he can connect, it does not receive the password I just generated by email, and I have to send it by email, which is not highly recommended in terms of security. Do you have an alternative to this ?

Thanks

@exode13,

As Anonymous20 suggest here, you should install some SMPT plugin and check what's going wrong on your website:

Has this been solved? I have a new member who didn't recieve their email and I had to delete their account so they could try again. That's not userfriendly :-(.
