Good afternoon

Last Thursday I downloaded wpForo plugin and after activating, and working with it a bit I got an email stating the my site experienced a technical issue with the plugin wpForo.

It listed the error details which is extremely long but this is part of it. An error of type E_ERROR was caused in line 83 of the file

Error message - Uncaught Error: all to undefined function

I am kindly requesting urgent assistance since I am unable to work on my site.

My version of Wordpress is  5.62 Current theme is Astra 3.1.2, wpForo 1.9.5 and PHP 7.4.15

@dimalifragis honestly I am not sure.

Could be a low memory issue. Try to find a way to check it. And if you have 128, double it or even more.

@dimalifragis I think I found it.  I have a memory limit of 256.

OK, 256mb should be ok but could you try a larger number? Like 384 or 512mb?

Other than that, i don't know. The support of wpforo here will help you more.

@dimalifragis thank you for reaching out and attempting to assist.

Unfortunately, I don't have the ability to expand it from my end.  Really hope support will reach out soon.

Thanks again.

Hi @deedee10,

So what is the error, and what file it's in? We cannot help you without these details. Please find the error message and let us see it.

@deedee10,

Try to deactivate wpForo (do not uninstall!), then delete the plugin, then search in plugins and install wpForo again. Activate it and check. If you still see the same problem, then read further:

This is either a result of wpForo template file customization or incorrect file permissions in the server. And both cannot be fixed without deep access to the file system. You should do that yourself.

1. If you've done any customization on wpForo files please let us know.

2. If you've not done any, then use FTP client, e.g. Filezilla, open the following folders and take screenshots that I could see files, file permissions and owners columns:

  • wp-content/plugins/wpforo/wpf-themes/classic/layouts/4/
  • wp-content/plugins/wpforo/wpf-themes/classic/layouts/
  • wp-content/plugins/wpforo/wpf-themes/classic/
  • wp-content/plugins/wpforo/
  • wp-content/plugins/
  • wp-content/

En example of wp-content/plugins/wpforo/wpf-themes/classic/layouts/4/ directory screenshot:
