Hi Folks,

If I use Wordfence 2FA and Recaptcha to protect logins, then I cannot log in using the WPforo login page. I can login using the standard wordpress login page.

If I turn off Wordfence recaptcha and 2FA, then wpforo log in works, but obviously that removes the Wordfence security for the rest of my site, which is undesirable.

I've seen a few posts here about others having Wordfence recapchta and 2fa issues with WPforo. However, none of the topic threads had solutions.

Is this a known incompatibility with no resolution?

@sofy He said his solution no longer works consistently.

Wordfence security and firewall work fine. It's the login security that isn't working properly with Wpforo.

Is there no official way of getting wpforo compatible with Wordfence?

It is the most highly used security plugins for WordPress with over 4 million installs.

This is NOT an issue of wpForo. Wordfence CLEARLY states that login/register/lost password pages, work ONLY with Standard Wordpress login/register/lost password pages. Not custom ones.

So use those instead of wpForo's.

@dimalifragis Unless I'm misreading the docs, I can't get wpforo to use the standard pages. When I set these pages set to "No" wpforo still uses the custom page.

@sison2466 Yes, you will need to change a little bit the menu urls to use WP std ones.

Hi @sison2466

I'm sorry but the wpForo login page doesn't support the 2FA. If you are going to use it then you should turn off wpForo login page. You can change wpForo login page to other pages using corresponding options in wpForo > Settings > Login and Registration admin page: https://wpforo.com/docs/wpforo-v2/settings/login-registration/#custom-authorization-urls
