Hello,
My WP backend is in English my site is in French. But the forum is showing in English
can you please help me fix this

There are two ways to translate wpForo.
If the website language is not set French in Dashboard > Settings > General admin page then you should use wpForo Front-end Phrases to translate them. If the site language is French, wpForo should load the French translation automatically from Po/MO files. And you can complete the translation using Loco Translate plugin.
