WPForo displays properly on the /community page, but when I add [wpforo] to any page, the result looks bizarre. For example, see https://egyptianwisdomcenter.org/forum-widget-page/

I've tried other standard themes, but I get the same result.

I'm using the extended layout, but other layouts also suffer.

I've attached a screenshot of the beginning of the content area of a page with [wpforo] in it.

Any advice?

Hi @jpschwartz,

Please navigate to Dashboard > Forums > Settings > Features admin page, make sure the "Output Buffer" is enabled.

More info here:   https://wpforo.com/docs/root/wpforo-settings/features/#output-buffer

Don't forget to delete all caches before checking.

And please make sure you're using the latest wpForo version (v. 1.6.5).

@sofy

Enable Output Buffer is already enabled. 🙁

Any other suggestions?

Jim

@jpschwartz

What "widget" page has to do with wpForo shortcode? You have mixed something.

While your forum works all right.

You're right, I improperly named the page. There's no widget on the page, only the shortcode [wpforo].

So everything works right or not ?

No, when I place [wpforo] on any page on this website, I get the munged display. I've tried using other themes, deactivating all plugins except wpforo, and experimenting with various versions of PHP 7. No joy. I tried putting [wpforo] on a completely different website page, and it works fine. I'm baffled.

I've also tried turning on debug mode and refreshing the affected page, but the debug.log file doesn't even appear.

/community works fine. The problem appears on any page that includes the shortcode [wpforo].

I don't understand, sorry.

There is ONE base page for wpForo with the shortcode and that is your Forum page.

If you try to do something else, you do not clearly explain.

@jpschwartz,

Please edit the "forum test page" page and make sure the sort code is not enclosed in addition tags. Currently, I see that the wpForo main tag <div id="wpforo-wrap"> is located into the <pre> tags.

 Additional pre tag

@sofy

That solved it! It's uncanny how often the solution is something very simple.

Big thanks! WPForo rocks!
