Questions on how to make some changes in WPForo

1. How can I customize the email that is sent to a user after they register for the site?

Currently, it reads:

Hi xxxx-xxxx, Your registration for XYZ FORUM has now been approved. You can log in, using your username and password that you created when registering for our website, at the following URL: https://XYZ/forum/ If you have any questions or problems, then please do not hesitate to contact our webmaster at XYZ@ZYZ.com and provide complete details as well as your first and last name and additional contact information. XYZ Network https://XYZ.com

I'm not sure where and how it's pulling the "webmaster at ZYZ.com" info?
Also, where it is pulling the last XYZ Network https://XYZ.com part?

2. On the Profile pages (for WPForo members) can I set a default background image that shows up blurry, behind the member's name, group, joined date, and status? I was thinking I'd like to always have the same background image if this is possible?

3. On the Profile pages (for WPForo members) can I hide the "Group: Moderator" and "Joined: date" and "Active Member" information? Is there a way I can selectively choose what to hide and display on the profile page when it comes to this information?

4. On the Profile pages (for WPForo members) can I remove the /admin or /moderator, etc. after the member's name? I'd like to just display their name. Is it possible to just display the member's name without the /admin, etc. after it? I guess you would call this their "role" so I just want to hide this. How?

Thanks,
Gary

Hi @garygordon,

1. How can I customize the email that is sent to a user after they register for the site?

This is not the wpForo email. All wpForo emails you can find and customize in the Dashboard > Forums > Settings > Emails tab.

2. On the Profile pages (for WPForo members) can I set a default background image that shows up blurry, behind the member's name, group, joined date, and status? I was thinking I'd like to always have the same background image if this is possible?

I'm really sorry, but wpForo doesn't have such a feature Probably you can customize it yourself.

The following two docs should be helpful for you:

3. On the Profile pages (for WPForo members) can I hide the "Group: Moderator" and "Joined: date" and "Active Member" information? Is there a way I can selectively choose what to hide and display on the profile page when it comes to this information?

You can hide it via CSS code.

4. On the Profile pages (for WPForo members) can I remove the /admin or /moderator, etc. after the member's name? I'd like to just display their name. Is it possible to just display the member's name without the /admin, etc. after it? I guess you would call this their "role" so I just want to hide this. How?

Display Name can be changed in My Profile > Account admin page, all users are able to change Display Names. Display Name is not the Real First/Last Name. Display Name can be set whatever the user wants.
