I downloaded WpForo and love this forum plugin.. I am using Phpbb because all the other wordpress forum plugins never really could even come close to a a real forum in capabilities..Until Now !

That's funny Robert I was juts looking at that .. Phpbb to bbpress THEN bbpress to Wpforo..
I can do that on my own so thanks ..
It may be easier though if I just start fresh with WPforo and manually move posts over since there are only 50 posts and mostly just me talking to myself (as I build out the main Directory).. the Post DATES are my only issue.. really wanted to keep those..

It's great to hear that wpForo helps to create WordPress forums and people like it. A good review would be the best donation. I'm sorry but we don't have donation options yet.
@bidawinner You are better off directly going to wpforo instead of via bbpress.
After converting from bbpress to wpforo, even if you reset bbpress (which is supposed to completely remove all bbpress content) and later deactivate and delete bbpress plugin, it still leaves the content in your wp_posts table. This might make your wordpress installation sluggish especially if you are trying to move a bigger forum like me.
Thanks Sam.. yeah I went ahead and manually moved everything..That's what I was thinking as well..once to bbpress then I still have a lot of clean up to do..
Anyway I think I have it roughly how I want it .. it's coming along

Are you using an addon to include images in your posts? When I attach an image file, it is showing up as a link.

We use the free core wpForo plugin here. There is no any addon installed in this community. So you see a regular link instead of tumbnails. Please read wpForo file attachment doc:

Apologies to somewhat hijack your thread, however i'm considering moving my phpbb forum over to wpForo but i have a few questions one of which it seems you dealt with directly.
I'm a relative novice when it comes to these things, if i were to install wpForo, how did you move your posts manually?

The first step is migrating phpBB to bbPress:
