Theme Structure

wpForo theme consists of Layouts and Styles. For example the default “Classic” theme has three layouts:

• Extended Layout
• Simplified Layout
• Question & Answer Layout

And six Styles:

• Default (Blue)
• Red
• Green
• Orange
• Grey
• Dark

Each theme has three mandatory CSS files:

• styles.css – main style-sheet
• widgets.css – widgets style-sheet
• colors.css – dynamic colors, these colors are set in Dashboard > Forums > Settings > Styles admin page. Also this file contains custom CSS code. After wpForo update colors.css file will be removed, but all color settings will still be saved in database. You  just need to refresh the forum front-end twice and the colors.css will be automatically created with all old settings and colors. Thus your color customization will not be lost.
